The Mayor is elected along with six Alderman who serve two year non-compensated terms. The City of Lake Lotawana handles the sewer and outlying roads. The Lake Association handles the roads that travel around the lake. The City also has a Police Department, Municipal Court, plans for residential and commercial development and also takes care of pet licensing.
