Looking for a great place to dine with family, a date night, or friends? Kozak's in Smithville is your place. It's owned and run by a couple who opened in 2021. All items are made from scratch and there's nothing bad. My personal favorite is their grilled Salmon dinner. They are award-winning for their large menu of dishes from delicious steaks, and healthy California Cobb Salad to Asian BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos - best-selling shareable by far. Kozak's also has banquet and catering options available. Plan your next gathering now and go try it. I may be there with you!!! Enjoy!

A great addition to an already stellar list of "food finds" in Smithville. Located near Packs Hardware, the food truck is stationed in the parking lot of the U-Haul business. We've tried many rolls and have enjoyed them all. I see many great reviews of the Hibachi food as well. Give them a shot! You can find their menu on their FB page, and calling ahead can help with the normal
15-20 minute wait. Smithville continues to add more value to our community every year.

Smithville is on the northern edge of the Kansas City Metropolitan area. It is a growing and welcoming community that was established in the 1830s. It is home to a 7200-acre lake that has 175 miles of shoreline. It would be a place for those who long to live quiet and comfortable yet convenient lifestyles. Smithville offers a small-town feel with easy Kansas City convenience. There are currently eight listings in all of Smithville as of September 21, 2021, and over the past six months, 164 homes have been sold in this town. Is this the place for you to live?
  • The Haunted Campground at Smithville Lake is a must-do for kiddos to get out and have some fall fun. The community does a great job of getting together to pass out candy and other goodies for the kids. And it's free!

My kids have walked away the past two years with so much candy! The Smith Fork Campground has a nice setup and a very smooth flow. There have always been games that the volunteers set up, and they all decorate their spaces so fun! This year it will be held on October 23 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.!

Its summertime! Wanna take the kids to something free where they can play in water!? Yes, please! Smithville has officially opened up a new splash pad that is any adult's favorite word, free. If your kids need to get rid of some energy and you are tired of taking them to activities that may break the bank take them for an hour or two to run away and play in some water. Maybe they will meet some new friends and you can sit back, relax, and watch them have some fun!
  • Want to take the kids out for some free popsicles and support local police officers? Take the kiddos out on July 9 at 1:00 p.m. to Popsicles & Police Offices. There is a must-try eatery for everyone who is looking for a laid back, delicious, and reasonably priced meal. Aroma Bistro is located east of I-169 south of Smithville, MO. It's easy to get to, has the most amazing staff, sommelier', menu, chefs and it all comes at a budget-friendly price. The Sunday Brunch is filled with yummy combinations of waffles to chilaquiles poblanos; my favorite. If you are into wine, they have wine classes to host small groups and awesome appetizers.
Either way, you go, give them a try and please tell Matt, that I sent you. Let me know what's your personal favorite item. Enjoy!!!

Aroma Bistro is located at 14121 Earthworks Drive in Smithviille. You can call them at (816) 866-4001.
  • I always knew I really liked Smithville Lake, but this summer I got the privilege to hang out there a little more than I have in the past. Not only is it a great lake to fish on, which is what I knew most about it, but it's also a great lake to enjoy some good ol boat time. Whether you are wanting to "cove out" or go tubing/wake boarding it's the perfect lake for it. The best part is that kids can have just as much fun as the adults. Living in Smithville and having this great resource so close would be awesome!
