    If you've driven along West 143rd Street, you will have noticed the picturesque Steeplechase subdivision located just east of Mission Road in Leawood. This community offers so much! The reasonable homeowners association dues take care of the walking trail, playground, and neighborhood pool. The homes typically sell from $400,000 to about $480,000 and they are mostly of the two-story floor plan. Many of them have finished basements too. The area is so desirable, that homes usually sell in about a month. Ironwoods Park is nearby and it is a short drive to the Prairiefire entertainment district. Of course, the Blue Valley schools are another big draw!

    Steeplechase was developed by Pulte. There are multiple floor plans ranging in upper floor square footage from 2564 to 3446+. The community started building in 1995. A redesign of the floor plans offered starting in 1996 launched the community into growth mode.

    There is a neighborhood pool, play area, and a private hike and bike trail.

    Directions to Steeplechase: from I-435, take the Roe Ave exit, south on Roe, east on 135th St, south on Mission Road, and east on 145th St into the neighborhood.
