    Legend Trail Subdivision
I've had many friends live in Legend Trail neighborhood over the years. I actually got around to learning some boxing in a friend's garage here. That friend had been a professional MMA fighter back west in Arizona. We would throw down the mats and put on the gloves and knock each other senseless for a couple hours one night a week. In fact, that makes this the only neighborhood in Kansas that I've actually had my nose broken in. And I guess that makes it special in a way that some other neighborhoods never will be.

Located at the end of Bob Billings Parkway, just west of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. It's a quiet street with minimal traffic. Soon Bob Billings will connect with K-10 Highway, making commuting easier and helping continue to develop the area. Langston Hughes School, one of Lawrence's most popular is practically across the street, and there are plenty of west Lawrence restaurants and shopping with a mile. Legend Trail is a great starter neighborhood for first-time home buyers. Housing availability and affordability make it a great first destination in Lawrence.

I have sold a lot of townhomes on the Legend Trail subdivision circle and used to own two of them. Highland Construction built all of the duplexes except the one I owned and the one next to it, which a friend owns that were done by Medallion Homes. There are 41 duplexes (82 townhouses) built around 2001 and almost all have basements due to the sloping hill toward the west Lawrence city limits which is adjacent to the west side of this subdivision. Many of the properties on the outside of the circle have privacy in the backyard. Drive west on 15th St/Bob Billings Parkway and turn left when it dead ends. KDOT is preparing to extend 15th to the K10 bypass which will make it easy to get onto I-70. City limits are west and south, Langston Hughes elementary and Corpus Christi Church are north and east. Most of these were built without a lot of upgrades to make the price affordable.
