The Villas happens to be one of my favorite neighborhoods in Lawrence for those who want to pay a little extra for quality construction and HOA maintained landscaping, snow removal, home exterior and more. Homeowners in general are only responsible for the interiors of the homes. Jerry Magnuson is the HOA president and does a fabulous job of keeping costs down (no swimming pool is the biggest savings) and using the clubhouse for neighborhood get togethers. Values range from about $215,000 on the interior subdivision slab homes to over $450,000 on the walkout basement homes which are on the outside of the Fountain Drive and Villa Drive circle. Only two streets and 64 homes, all are one level. I searched for a home for my parents for eight years and now they live in the Villas.
