    If you are looking for a rural neighborhood with all the conveniences of a traditional suburban setting, Countrywood has it. Just down the road on Highway 45, the Creekside Parkville business district just keeps offering more and more great amenities. Currently, The Station offers gas, a convenience store, and made-to-order food. Jonny's Tavern has all the games playing on its scores of TVs, along with a nice menu. Anytime Fitness and Blush Boot Camp are there to help achieve your fitness goals. There are also two coffee shops, a liquor store, and a newly opened brewery! I haven't listed everything here, but the area is continuing to grow and thrive. Countrywood is literally a hop, skip and jump to Creekside. You can even hop on your bike and ride there on the paved bike trail along 45.

    If you love to bike ride, Countrywood is within close proximity to the Platte County biking trail that runs all the way along Highway 45 from Interstate 435 to the west, to the Line Creek Trailhead to the east. You can hop right on the trail on the south entrance to Countrywood. The path is a wide, asphalt trail that is separate from the roadway for added safety. Not only does this trail hook up with the Line Creek trail, but you can also veer off the path at Highway 9 and ride into downtown Parkville to enjoy English Landing Park, Platte Purchase Park, downtown Parkville, and much more! There are miles and miles of biking opportunities right in your back yard!

    Countrywood is just around the corner from my house, and it is one of my favorite places to walk my dog, go for a run, or take a bike ride. The paved roads are nice and wide with no sidewalks, so they truly feel like country lanes. The homes sit on large estate lots, usually 3-5 acres with the homes set back off the street for added privacy. Most of the lots feature mature shade trees and many have woods on the property. The lots are large enough to allow for outbuildings (subject to county zoning rules), pools, large garages, gardens, play structures, you name it. While the neighborhood really has a "country" feel, it is just a few minutes from Interstate 435, around 15 minutes to the Legends, 10 minutes to the airport, 15 minutes to downtown Parkville, and 15 minutes or less to shopping and entertainment.
