Welcome to Miami! It's been 50 years since the Chiefs made an appearance in a Super Bowl, and the loyal fans of Kansas City are elated for the opportunity at a Chiefs's first Super Bowl victory. This team has proven their perseverance and determination this season and are deserving of the NFL Championship title.

What I love seeing most, besides watching Mahomes and the Chiefs win, is the passion of our city and its fans. Landmark buildings including Union Station, Power & Light, Nelson Atkins, Sprint Center, Kauffman Center for Performing Arts, to name a few - lit up with red in celebration of this historic sports event. Murals throughout Crossroads and downtown showcasing our hometown team. And Mohomes surpassing Brady in NFL merchandise sales speaks volumes, literally.

No matter the outcome of Super Bowl 54, I am proud and inspired by Kansas City and our Kansas City Chiefs!

It's been a time (1970) since the Kansas City Chiefs have been to the Superbowl. The win on January 11, 1970 against the Minnesota Vikings has been the only Superbowl win to date for the Kansas City Chiefs; however, we are about to change that! The comrodery of our community is quite overwhelming! We are one proud city and are all looking forward to another win in 2020! Merchandise is selling out and stores can't stock enough.

As we entered the small diner type spot it was incredibly busy and smelled amazing! We pulled up to the bar since it was just the two of us and began to watch the ladies making smoothies, tea, coffee, and pour Kombucha from the tap!

I had the sweet potato taco's, which were amazing! I wish I could describe it and even begin to serve it justice, but I know I couldn't! It was so yummy and served on a perfect corn tortilla that didn't fall apart! It was topped with the most amazing guacamole and the freshest pico I just couldn't put it down.

If you are looking for a lunch spot down around Southwest Trafficway, you need to pop in and give it a try! You will not leave disappointed!

Is the “Bubble Bursting” right before our very eyes? Don’t call it a comeback, we’ve been here before…wow that’s sounds like a lyric from LL Cool J! Guess what everyone? We've been here before concerning the housing market. What do I mean you might be asking yourself?

I believe that numbers never lie and here’s why. Back in 2013, when hourly wages were hovering around $20 an hour, the average cost of purchasing a home was ± $163K. Now fast forward to 2019 and the average hourly wage is around $24 an hour. In comparison to 2013’s wages, that’s less than a 20% climb. However, the cost to purchase a home continues to rise creating a separation gap that lags the pace for today's homeownership in which the average cost today is $232K, given your geographical location in the US.

The picture I’m painting here is that the upcoming bubble is due to inflate prices for homeowners as well as the fact that wages are at an “LA 405” crawl. Guess what y'all, that’s right I said it…the housing industry is quite aware of this and that is why lending opportunities for those with “less than stellar” credit will be able to purchase over-inflated priced homes. As I mentioned before don’t call it a comeback because we’ve been here before and it wasn’t pretty. Have you ever heard the phrase “loose lips sink ships?”, well in this case, by loosening the lending belt for easier access to home ownership, this could cause another catastrophic nightmarish housing crash once again.

As I’ve said before, numbers never lie so here’s a “did you know”. Market Watch from a Moody’s Citing reported that ages 30 to 59 revealed a “Bearish” trend concerning their FICO scores. The report attributed this due to auto loans that fell into default. Yikes! Don’t just take my word for it, research it for yourself and ask the question; are we going to go through this again?

Brewery Emperial has some of the most spectacular menu items! We can't ever decide and always want more than one, so we usually order several things and share! The atmosphere is incredible as well as super friendly staff and even other customers. Super vibrant and always a good time, whether we pull up to the bar, or sit outside on the coolest patio around. If you don't sit well you can always move about or play the games outside! We have enjoyed going on date night and taken the whole family!

It's almost that time of year again! Chiefs season!!! I am so excited for this football season and I am ready to cheer on our very own AFC West Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs!! They had such an awesome season last year!! The first Preseason game is on August 10th, 2019 at Arrowhead Stadium against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, the game I am looking forward to the most is when we play the New England Patriots on December 8th, 2019. Unfortunately, that is not a home game. So go ahead and get out your Chiefs gear, because football season is just around the corner!
