What a fun donut shop! What started in the Outer Banks of North Carolina is now the fastest growing donut franchise in the U.S. Here they have seasonal flavors of donuts, fan favorite donuts, sandwich donuts, and made-to-order donuts. The made-to-order donuts start with a vanilla cake donut, and from there, you can choose your coating, topping, and drizzle. Not only do they do donuts, but you can also enjoy ice cream and coffee!

Leawoof Off-Leash dog park is located at 106th and Lee Boulevard in Leawood, KS. Leawoof Off-Leash dog park is open to the public from sunrise to sunset and closed Thursday mornings from 6:00-10:00 a.m. for routine maintenance. The dog park is located at the east end of Leawood City Park and over the bridge crossing Indian Creek. This off-leash area has plenty of space for your furry friends to run, explore and socialize with other pups. If your pup is new to the dog park scene or nervous around other dogs there is a small section separate from the main dog park area for smaller dogs or puppies to get acclimated. The City of Leawood does a nice job of keeping this park clean and maintained but just in case your dog finds a mud puddle during your visit, there is a free dog wash station that you can use on the way out. Dog lovers...you have to check out this hidden gem in Leawood, your dog will thank you!
  • During December 2018 Leawood KS had 35 homes sold/closed. There are 156 homes available for sale. This ratio of homes sold over time is called the absorption rate. If the absorption rate continues at the same pace as December 2018 then it would take 4.5 months to sell all of the homes for sale assuming that all homes would sell, and that no additional homes came on the market.

In general terms a market is considered balanced when the supply of homes equals 5.5 to 6.5 months of inventory compared to demand or absorption rate. The lower the month’s supply of home is, the seller tends to see an advantage in price or terms. The higher the months supply of homes the more advantage there is to the buyer in terms of price or terms.

Higher demand for Leawood homes, due to location, schools, and limited supply gives home sellers a slight advantage in negotiation of terms.

Leawoof Dog Park is a fun spot to let your fury friends run and play! It is located in Leawood City Park with access to tennis courts, a playground and community pool. There is a lot of running room for the big pups and even a separate space for the little ones. I have taken my dog, Gus, here multiple times. He is always so happy running his wheels and making new friends.

Additionally, the park is supplied with trash receptacles and doggie bags. The fact they have multiple watering stations is a "huge" plus during the summer too. The coolest part; however, is there is an agility course. With how much energy my dog has, that is such a great way to train and tire him out! After all, a tired dog is a good dog!

    The park is open weekdays from 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., except for Thursday which is open 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Park Place in Leawood is a charming, open-air, mixed-use district that is adjacent to the large Town Center complex. It is located at 117th Street, just east of Nall Avenue. In contrast to the chain restaurants and stores in Town Center, it offers boutiques and unique dining. There is even a small hotel, called Aloft, that features rooms with the décor of an urban loft. There are office buildings and apartments too.

In keeping with Kansas City’s tradition of free and plentiful parking, there are three parking garages. In the middle of the development is a green space in which to relax. During the summer there is entertainment there and during the winter it becomes an ice rink - the only outdoor ice skating in Johnson County!

For a special evening out, we suggest an early movie at the AMC 20 in Town Center, then dinner at one of the unique restaurants in Park Place. Afterwards, you can walk off dinner by strolling around the area, stop for a nightcap and listen to some music.

Town Center is a shopping district in Leawood and comprises Town Center Plaza and Town Center Crossing. These shopping centers are located at 119th Street and Roe Avenue. The popular AMC Town Center 20 is located near Nall Avenue within this shopping area. Like most shopping zones in Kansas City, there is abundant free parking. Yes, Kansas Citians are certainly spoiled with their ease of parking and we love it!

All of the “usual suspect” chain stores and restaurants are here and it is fair to say that this is a typical KC-style shopping center. It is an open air concept and not a mall. That’s not so great during our harsh winters, but is certainly pleasant to walk around the rest of the year.
