    Misty Woods is in close proximity to some really great outdoor recreation options. Just down the road is Green Hills of Platte County nature preserve. There are some beautiful walking trails here as well as a pond. Dogs are allowed and can be off-leash at your discretion. Across Highway 9 is access to the Riverfront Trail. This is an excellent paved trail for walking and biking. It connects to the Line Creek Trail system, so if you are looking to get in a long run or bike ride, this is a nice option. Just to the west of Misty Woods along Highway 9 is English Landing and Platte Landing Parks, with walking and biking trails, as well as a dog park. Of course, stop in downtown Parkville after your outing for a coffee, lunch and some shopping!
