Although we are just now getting a hint of warmer weather, you may have spring cleaning on the mind. Peculiar will have their annual city wide garage sale on June 1st. Registration is at City Hall (250 S Main St.) and you must be registered by May 17th. For $5.00 you will be put on the garage sale map, which will be advertised in the paper, the city's website, and various locations around town. Now is a good time to start combing through all the items cluttering up your basement, garage, or attic to see what you may want to sell!
  • Peculiar is an amazing city and a great place to live. I may be a little biased and I will tell you why. My husband and I bought our first home here. We wanted to have more of that country feel, but still be close to town and the highway. We found the perfect spot in one of Peculiar's many beautiful and friendly subdivisions.

I got married here in my parents' front yard...which is 20+ acres. They found a beautiful spot to build their dream home, dream barn, and dream horse pastures. Peculiar is where I fell in love with community involvement by joining the Lions Club. They have a farmers market from summer to fall, many parks, fishing derbies at the local lake, and a walking trail throughout the city.

I can't wait for you to see all Peculiar has to offer and for you to be my new neighbor, whether you are looking for the perfect home in town or lots of acreage to call your own!
