Located just northwest of The Legends shopping center, it has the best school districts in the area. The Piper School District has seen tremendous growth over the past 10 years and recently just passed a school bond to build a brand new intermediate (3rd-5th Grade) school at 131st and Leavenworth Road. My husband and I moved to the area right before our daughter was going to enter kindergarten and couldn't be more thrilled with our experience so far. We now have two girls at the elementary school who are thriving in their classes. The teachers, staff, and community really treats each other with respect and kindness. I feel like the Piper area is a perfect mix of big city and small town.

    Enrollment has shot up by 53 percent, or 830 students, in the past decade. More that 2,300 students now attend Piper Schools.

    The Bond issue is passed and with a three-five school center that will accommodate 800 students, district officials say they can keep grade levels at one location. The new school will open in the fall of 2020.
