    Unbiased Stone Canyon from a Local Family's Perspective
    Stone Canyon is an affordable newer golf community in Blue Springs. We have friends that built new and live here with kids. They really like the subdivision and the schools. There are lots of families with young kids based on the Award-Winning Blue Springs School District. Burr Oak Woods Nature Park is close by. There are some great new businesses in Downtown Blue Springs and in East Independence that are easily accessible from here. Stone Canyon is centrally located to I-70 and 291/I-470 for easy commute to Lee's Summit or Downtown KC. The only drawbacks they've seen are the community swimming pool that was promised when their home was being built has not been installed. The builder is talking about taking a hole out of the golf course to build homes in an area that was not initially planned for building, and the builder hasn't turned over the Homeowners' Association to the home owners yet. They said they have a lot of great neighbors in the subdivision and really like it overall. I just figured I would share an unbiased view if it helps in your search.

    Stone Canyon is a luxury subdivision on the west side of Blue Springs. The amenities of this area are really great! All homes are tested and approved by an energy star auditor so they can be labeled an energy efficient neighborhood. That's not all, they are connected to the Stone Canyon Golf Course which has been rated in the top three public golf courses in Missouri! This luxurious neighborhood ranges in price from $295,000 and up. There is quick and easy access to the major highway of I-70 and also surrounded by great shopping and dining experiences!
