This beautiful outdoor campus has much to offer your children and community. As a former student at Blue Springs High School, I can say that my high school experience was a very successful one thanks to this school. The BSHS motto is "Win at Everything We Do," and winning they do well. If you're looking to put your child in a school that values hard work, dedication, and having fun while doing it, then I think this school would fit for you. With four football state championship wins over the past 20 years, and with the BSHS Golden Regiment Band having placed third at the Bands of America Grand Nationals in 2018, this school produces some of Missouri's best talents. More is offered than just those two activities. Extracurriculars such as choir, orchestra, student, senate, baseball, soccer, debate, and forensics, etc., exist at this school. On top of all the activities offered, a new fine arts space and gym, as well as a new library, are being built to expand the already large school. Out of 510 public high schools in Missouri, BSHS was ranked number 31 for best.

My family moved to Blue Springs at the beginning of the school year and primarily did so in hopes that the schools could provide a better experience for my three children. At first I was a bit worried as my oldest son prepared to start at Brittney Hills Middle School because the gifted program seemed to be far less than what he had in Odessa. However, after a few weeks I was so glad we made the move.

Brittney Hills has a wonderful Honors course program and the teachers really make the kids work. Matthew had a power point assignment due in the first week. But even beyond that, these teachers encourage him so much that he explores the subjects more indepth at home as well. Keeping a gifted child interested is a challenge and one I am so glad they assume well.

My youngest two attend James Walker Elementary and I am impressed with them as well. Dr. Flax is absolutely wonderful and my kids love him. So if you feel like your kids need more challenge in their education, Blue Springs in a great place to start.
