Welcome to Chapman and the Kansas Auto Racing Museum. This 21 acre museum complex is the doorway to town! It features the first NASCAR trophy which was won by Jim Roper of Halstead. He earned that honor in June 1949 on the Charlotte Speedway.

The museum is also honored to have the first NHRA trophy which is housed there. Great Bend was the site of that event. The trophy was won by a Mr. Paul Flynn of Abilene. Visitors can enjoy rare racing footage, vintage race cars, photographs and more. Be sure to stop by and check out a piece of racing history!

Through the efforts of the community and the departments of the City of Chapman, the citizens are very lucky to have a beautiful clubhouse in the community. The clubhouse is close to the golf course to allow easy access. The club house consists of two levels. The lower level is for cart supplies and storage. The upper level consists of two rooms: one is used for daily operation for the course and the other is used for a fitness room that has treadmills and step climbers for Chapman residents. Lastly, a large deck was built to allow individuals to enjoy a beautiful view of the course. You can't beat a beautiful sunset here!
