    Lakepointe is surrounded by a 16-acre lake, several ponds, fountains, and a waterfall. The neighborhood has a true park like feel. There is also a neighborhood park with playground equipment and several acres of green space for kids to play or for social gatherings. A paved, scenic walkway connects to Mill Creek Streamway Park. There are many areas close by for walking, running, biking, boating, and fishing.

    Lakepointe is located in Western Shawnee off of K-7 and Johnson Drive. This sought after neighborhood is located in Johnson County and goes to the De Soto School District. Lakepointe was built in many phases, and it is well established. The earlier phases are smaller homes with many split floor plan options, and the final phase is larger with more 2-stories and ranches with 3-car garages.

    The Lakepointe subdivision of Shawnee is in a very desirable part of Johnson County and in the esteemed De Soto School District. It is walking distance to some of the schools. It’s conveniently located between Monticello Road and Woodland Drive. Clear Creek Parkway runs east and west through it. It has great access from Johnson Drive, Shawnee Mission Parkway, I-435, and Kansas highway K-7. The renowned Gary L Haller National Recreation Trail is nearby. This is a popular and scenic trail that follows Mill Creek.

    Lakepointe has a homes association with reasonable dues of only $350 per year. The dues cover the maintenance of the commons areas, such as the exercise trail and play area, and also trash/recycling. So far in 2017, homes have sold from $220,000 to $337,000.
