Elite! Comics, a comic book store that has serviced the Overland Park community for over 20 years and is one of my absolute favorite spots to go to get a comic book or memorabilia. William, the owner is one of the kindest owners around. The shop is a total gem and has something for everyone. Located at the corner of 119th and Quivira next to Talk of the Town. Highly recommend for the whole family and might just inspire a young child to take up a new or a lifelong hobby.

I am a foodie girl all the way and McLain's Market never disappoints. This adorable bakery started years ago in the heart of Kansas City, MO. In fact, the original one is still standing. When you walk into the Overland Park location you get all the hipster/boho vibes. You are instantly greeted by the smell of fresh baked goods. You may have a hard time choosing between dessert first or one of their delicious lunches. Well, let's just say I never leave empty-handed without a sweet or two. Sometimes I just feel the need to share with family or friends, so don't be surprised if you get a pop by of deliciousness one day. On another note, McLain's Market is the perfect place to enjoy coffee, breakfast, or lunch with your favorite person or coworker. After all, what is better than sharing your favorite spots with others. Hurry and make sure to put McLain's Market on your next stop list. You are going to love it!

Oh my goodness if you are looking for a thrilling time check out iFly in Overland Park. Get all the adrenaline of skydiving without the plane ride. Located at 10975 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park. They are open Monday - Thursday from 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Friday from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m..

This is so much fun. I took my grandson for his birthday. It was super easy to book a flight online. When we got there they took us back and showed us a video, next we were suited up and got in line. The wait was not long and we were able to take two flights each. The awesome thing is that the way the building is designed you can watch others while you wait.

The staff was amazing and super helpful. All in all an amazing activity in Kansas City.
