  • The Wind Wagon was a novel and innovative design to travel the plains of Kansas. If the wind was just right, these 'sailing wagons' could travel 15 to 40 mph. A record time of 20 days travel between Kansas City and Denver was recorded in 1860. This lovely cafe on the Oskaloosa Town Square pays tribute to this part of Kansas history. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Wind Wagon Cafe is exactly what small town America is about - good food and a fair price. Specializing in home style and smoked food, the Wind Wagon Cafe is a great place to enjoy a comfortable meal.
