I went out today to see what was going on at the new Macon Elementary School addition. It looks like it's coming together wonderfully. This addition is adding several new classrooms and a storm-safe multipurpose room among other things. Another great thing about this project is allowing for the playground that was right on the edge of the highway to be moved back behind the buildings for added safety. The original playground area is now being converted to much-needed parking areas.
