Rink Ratz has been an operating business for over 40 years. One of my closest friends mom has been the current owner since 2013. It is such a fun and friendly atmosphere for kids and families. I remember I had a fair share of my own birthday parties held there. Yes, they do birthday parties! It is located off of 7 Highway, closer to the south side of Blue Springs. Not only is it a skating rink but there are also arcade games, ways to win prizes, and a concessions stand. I would highly recommend this venue for birthday parties or just recreational use.

As a Blue Springs resident myself, I have done my fair share of gym hopping. I'll admit that I was a little apprehensive about joining this gym because of how affordable it was; ten dollars a month is a steal. Well, I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised by the facility. The front desk workers are so nice to me every day that I come in and always have smiles on their faces. I constantly see the staff disinfect the machines and equipment. As well as being clean, they have the most cardio equipment out of every gym I have been to and cardio is a big part of my workout routine. Tanning and massage chairs are also included but for a little extra. If you are someone who enjoys weight lifting, TRX workouts, or a quick 30 minutes circuit workout, they have designated spots for that as well. I have come to find that I like going more in the morning/afternoon because there are fewer people but that was what it was like for other gyms I have been to. Overall, I am not regretting my decision at all to join this establishment and if you are a gym lover like me I don't think you'll regret it either.

Blue Springs has its long line of history from the neat way it got its name to some of the most prideful homes in Missouri. But how about we take a peek into the lives of those who reside in this lovely city?

Blue Springs has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US. In other words, if this matches your area of work or interest, Blue Springs would be the perfect place to settle down and make some life long friends. Blue Springs also has a great diversity of backgrounds, races, and cultures. You are bound to meet so many different people. It is hard to get bored in an area like Blue Springs. There are so many opportunities for entertainment, socializing, and being active. Definitely a treasured area of Missouri.

We love trying out different places to eat, and this time we decided to try out a local place in Blue Springs; Casa Mexico. Christina loves Mexican food while Steve, not so much. Casa Mexico is a family Mexican restaurant located down 7 Highway. We were a huge fan of their homemade salsa and queso. I would highly recommend it!

When we say that Blue Springs has everything you could need or want, that doesn't exclude a 110-acre enclosure full of bison, elk, and white-tailed deer. Located within Fleming Park, you can bring carrots along with you on your trip to visit the animals. It's such a fun experience for kids, family, and animal lovers to watch these amazing creatures while they snack on their treats through the fence.
