    I really love my neighborhood. The homeowners association recently did some walking trail repairs. I've gotten the opportunity to walk them during the fall. Love, love, love these trails when the leaves are changing colors! Come in and check out the neighborhood. There are beautiful houses here.

    A Great Neighborhood in the Hills
    Hills of Oakmont is a relatively new subdivision in Platte County just southwest of Platte City, Missouri. The neighborhood is known for its large green spaces, walking trails, and prominence of Midwestern hospitality and openness. Children in this area attend the highly acclaimed Platte County R-III school district, making this subdivision a more than ideal place to start or raise a family.

    Play Areas and Walking Trails
    I'm glad the freezing temperatures finally subsided for a few days. I just love getting out and walking on the trails with my kids. The trails go through the entire neighborhood and lead to multiple play areas that the kids can enjoy. While watching the kids play in the areas you can enjoy yourself on the benches and watch the wildlife. Can't wait until spring when I can do this everyday.

    The Hills Of Oakmont held their annual meeting. They have elected new board members going into the 2015 fiscal year. The HOA will have new improvement projects for the 2015-2016 year.

    When I lived in the Hills of Oakmont I found it to be a warm and inviting subdivision. Located in Platte County, it is one of the few developments with long walking trails and lots of wide open green spaces. I found the trails an excellent place to exercise.The kids love the play areas located along the trails.

    All of this and still very accessible to several popular sites, 10 minutes from the popular Zona Rosa shopping and dining area, 5 minutes from KCI and 20 minutes from The Legends, NASCAR track, Sporting KC Soccer. This was definitely attractive for me as a Platte City resident.
