Kansas City, Kansas, also known locally as KCK, is a city that is rich in history and has a very diverse population. KCK is the third-largest city in the state of Kansas and the county seat of Wyandotte County. It is part of a consolidated city-county government known as the "Unified Government".

Kansas City was formed in 1868, having developed into a vital town due to its location at Kaw Point, the confluence of the Missouri and Kansas rivers. KCK was a vital town that connected westbound travelers to the Sante Fe, Oregon, and California trails, including Lewis and Clark during their historic westward journey. KCK was incorporated in October 1872.

    February 23rd kicks off the 15th annual "Psycho Wyco", Run Toto Run, Trail Run. It may be cold outside and it helps to be a bit insane to conquer the 50K, 10 mile, or 20 mile race. Well marked trails have participants winding through trees, jumping over tree roots and snow patches. Thrill seekers travel from all over the country to test their endurance.     The Argentine Mural stretching along a block on Metropolitan Avenue is a beautiful site to see. Created over 20 years ago, the artists used the cement retaining wall as the platform to depict important moments of Argentine's history dating back to the 1800's.

    Experience the paintings of early Indian settlers, Argentine's original establishment as a silver smeltering center, and later as a vital railroad railway. The mural is bright and bold. The characters appear to jump out to tell their story.
