Timber's Edge consists of 245 homes nestled in between Roe and Nall. The subdivision only has 2 entrances and exits, which are on 140th Street. Most of the homes in this area are between 15 and 20 years old. Many of the residents purchased new and have loved it so much that they have stayed, however, there has been some sales this past year. The homes were snatched up rather quickly, as the area is prime and the market is great. It helps that the area is surrounded by the ever popular city of Leawood. Location, location, location is what we real-estate professionals say. With that in mind, this is a great place that is surrounded by lots of things to do, see and eat. After-all, we all love a good place to eat. :)Some of the fun things to do and see occur at the well known children's farm, Deanna Rose, located at 138th and Switzer. There are so many different activities at this one location that you could literally make this a regular event. Some of the top specific things to do are bottle feeding the baby goats, pony rides, or stick pole fishing in the fully stocked pond. To fully understand what this place has to offer I highly suggest a personal visit. As for something great to see, it's well worth the jaunt over to the Overland Park Arboretum on 179th. The atmosphere is very calming and peaceful. The landscape is truly a sight to see for everyone of all ages. This particular spot hosts many activities, to include wine tasting and tours. The next tasting is on August 15th at 5:30. You can register by using this link. https://www.orderticks.com/artsandrec-op/fota/?p=is12t4ym&c=1Finally, let's talk about food. Everyone loves a great place to eat. Timber's Edge is located near several high traffic streets which provide many different eateries, whether you are looking for something quick or a place to celebrate a special event such as an anniversary. Two places that come to mind are Barley's Brewery, which just opened a location on 135th, between Roe and Nall. You can enjoy some great bar food and perhaps even some live music. If you need something a little more upscale you can run on over to Gaslight Grill, which is in the same vicinity. Both restaurants are just a few short minutes away from Timber's Edge. Have a happy day! :)
