Goddard is a vastly growing community with a huge amount of new construction from commercial to residential. The USD 265 District has done an amazing job and is continuously improving. In the recent years they have added new schools and renovated the older ones. The housing market in Goddard has really taken off and has drawn a lot of attention to potential buyers and sellers. There has been talk of a few different subdivisions coming to Goddard that will definitely boost the market.

In April 2017, Goddard voters approved the $52-million bond issue to pay for safety measures, including storm shelters and secure entrances, among other things. The bond issue passed by a vote of 1,766 in favor to 780 opposed.
