The 2022 Missouri State Fair is nearly here! From August 11-21, the fairgrounds, as well as Sedalia, will once again be filled with the usual hustle and bustle that the state fair brings. With plenty of fair food, concerts, expositions, and rides, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Go check it out and have a famous state fair corndog!!

Community and Children Teaming Up 4 Success (C.A.C.T.U.S.) will be hosting their annual school supply distribution on August 8th and 9th, 2022. This will take place behind Convention Hall at Liberty Park. Any student living in Pettis County is able to attend the event and receive a backpack filled with age-appropriate school supplies, with the only requirement being filling out a form found at www.sedaliacactus.org.

Katy Park in Sedalia has a playground, walking track, soccer area, baseball area, and a skate park. I grew up playing at this park and have a lot of great memories there with my family. Come check it out and have some fun.

This is a great community for seniors! I have toured the facility and I am happy with the staff and living conditions for the local residents. There are great rooms for living, hair salons, a kitchen, places for activities, and it sits on a large property for peaceful walking and enjoying being outside. There are two sections, assisted living and independent living. If you are needing a place like this, or have a family member who is needing to move to a place like this, they are happy to give you a tour!

Clover Dell Park is a great feature of Sedalia. It includes a stocked lake, soccer fields, playground, dog park, trails, and an area for archery target practice. It's a great place to get out of the house and enjoy the day at a local spot for many events!

Did you know that State Fair Community College hosts plant sales? They offer vegetables, herbs, annuals, houseplants, hanging baskets, roses, and lots more at the Potter Ewing Building Greenhouse on the SFCC Campus. Sedalia is home to the Missouri State Fair where you will find incredibly delicious fair food, amazing concerts, and a midway filled with fun for all ages.
