    In the heart of Blue Springs, Missouri, the 'Cats on Main' initiative showcases beautifully painted cat sculptures as a tribute to the city. These artworks symbolize the two prominent high schools: Blue Springs High, represented by the Wildcats, and Blue Springs South, represented by the Jaguars. Four Wildcats are positioned to the north, while four Jaguars stand to the south, totaling eight unique sculptures. Designed to boost tourism in the area, each cat sculpture features its own narrative, accompanied by a plaque and a scannable QR code. The initiative will eventually conclude with a public auction.

    The Bean Counter Cafe is a great new addition to our downtown area. It was formerly operated out of Colonial Gardens but now has its own space and management! They have a variety of menu items like breakfast- biscuits and gravy, waffles, sausage egg sandwiches, salads, sandwiches, fruit, pastries, and featured locally bottled drinks along with regular drinks like iced tea, coffee (hot or cold brew!), etc.

    I am so excited about this addition to the downtown market in Blue Springs. It is located at 1101 W Main St, Blue Springs, MO 64015, where the previous Inklings Coffee/Book store was. I can't wait to see you there!

    This Saturday, March 4, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Blue Springs is hosting a "dessert crawl," featuring over nine different yummy vendors for you to try! What is a dessert crawl?? It's simple, you start at any location you like, purchase whatever sweet treat you want, and make your way to the next one! Each location will have punchcards available. Just a few of the vendors include Bliss Chocolatier, Simply Frosted Bakery, and Scout Coffee. More information is available on the Facebook event page link attached below.

    This is one of my favorite areas for homes in Blue Springs as I love older homes.
    A little north of Main Street Park and west of Rotary Park and just beyond the cross streets of Main St and 7 Hwy to SW 15th St., is a mix of housing styles of mostly historic or older homes with charm.

    The Blue Springs Historical Society is also located in this section of the city at 101 SW 15 St. It is a wealth of information on the history of our city and registered historical properties nearby.
    I drive down 15th St almost daily and admire all of the big front porches, stone or brick details, original windows, and paint colors of all the historic homes. If you love historical homes, don't forget about the downtown Blue Springs area!

    The cross streets of Main St and 7 Hwy to SW 15th St, feature lots of mixed businesses, shopping, a photography studio, restaurants, a bakery, bar, coffee shop, and brewery; something for everyone!

    Pints N Play Arcade Bar is an arcade bar located in downtown Blue Springs featuring up to 60 classic arcade games, golf simulators, pinball machines, skeeball, etc. Also any time before
    8:00 p.m. you can pay $10 for a wristband for the kids to play! Great wintertime activity!
    They also have a party room which would be great for winter parties, kids' birthdays, or social networking events!
