If you are looking for locally-owned restaurants, please do me a favor and try Macarena's across the street from Cody's Quick Stop. It's a quaint place with little table space but a huge delish menu and awesome chip and dips, queso, and fajitas. If you host a family dinner, look at their menu and choose from one of the many entrees. My kids loved it as did Andy and me. We will definitely go back soon. Overflow Coffee is a little hidden gem off of old 291 Highway right next to the new QT behind Sonic. I met a friend there a few months ago and it's amazing and is my new go-to for a special treat. On my first visit the waiter suggested I try the Americano, I took his recommendation and fell in coffee love!! If you aren't familiar (like me), an Americano is two-three shots of espresso with hot or cold water. Make plans to take your honey, meet a friend or co-worker and treat yourself to try a new drink. In addition, they offer the coolest mugs that I have on my wish list, as well as a soft long sleeve tee-shirt so I can advertise and support their yummy, fun, and delicious small business - it's so important to spread the news and help this local gathering spot get lots of new customers and advocates. Make plans today!!! Enjoy!!

Overflow Coffee House is located at 1005 Middlebrooke Dr, Suite E, in Liberty.

Luigi's Italian Restaurant is a hidden gem! The service is outstanding and the menu is large so that even the pickiest eater, will find something they love. Located on the beautiful, historic downtown Liberty Square, this delicious spot is locally owned and has been in business for seven years (which states boldly just with the time it's been open). Along with your traditional Italian signature items, Luigi's offers Shrimp Florentine, Frutti Di Mare, Italian Sausage Florentine, and Tortellini Modo Mio: which is my "go-to" - it has chicken, basil, tomatoes, and broccoli all paired with a yummy white wine sauce - delicious. They even have a kids menu and fabulous desserts which include Lemon Mist Cake and House Made Tiramisu. Make plans to go on your next outing or call now to make reservations for Valentine's Day for you and your honey. You will thank me - You are welcome!!!

Luigi's is located at 8 E Franklin St. in Liberty, Missouri. Their hours are Monday - closed,
    Tuesday-Thursday - 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
    They are open Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Right on the Liberty Square is the sight of the first-ever successful daylight bank robbery! If you are a fan of history, specifically Missouri history, then I think this museum will spark your interest. This museum displays how the bank was back in 1866 and you will be able to picture how the robbery went down. Not only will you be immersed back in time, but photographs and documents will also be on display. Tickets for the museum are priced as adults paying $6.50, seniors (62+) pay $4.00, and children eight and under are free! Want to see a piece of Missouri history, then this museum is the stop for you.

The City of Liberty will be accepting your Christmas tree for recycling at Bennett Park located at 1100 N. Clayview. The 800 or so trees collected each year are chipped and used to line the trails around town. Trees will be accepted until January 30th. This is a good reuse of holiday decoration.
