Have you been to the Arboretum at Memorial Park lately? If not, and you bring your kids, you need to see their Story Walk. Along the pathways are signs from a childrens story that navigate your walk. This encourages children to engage in reading as well as physical activity. I was there earlier in the week and thought it was so adorable and genious. There are around 15 signs along the path to stop, see, read, and walk.

If you’re craving fresh Mexican food and a fun vibe, Mojitos in Raymore is a local gem. From sizzling fajitas to refreshing margaritas - try the house mojito, trust me! It’s the spot where you’ll probably run into neighbors and friends. It’s the kind of place you pop into for Taco Tuesday, casual family dinners, or to catch up with friends over chips and salsa that never stop coming. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the patio is perfect when Missouri weather decides to behave.

GO Carwash in Raymore is always busy, which says a lot about how many people trust them to get their cars clean. Since I show quite a bit in Raymore, Belton and Harrisonville, I stop in when I have the time. The wash does a solid job, and if you’ve got a few extra minutes, the vacuum stations are a nice bonus for cleaning the inside. Just be prepared—since it’s a popular spot, you might have to wait a little during peak times. Located at 1900 W Foxwood Dr, Raymore, MO 64083, (816) 892-4495.

  • Raymore is a fast-growing community located in Cass County. It neighbors Belton and is only about 15 minutes away from the popular city of Lee's Summit. Raymore has a lot to offer to its residents. On one side of town, you will find vast country and land where as, on the other, you will find more of a suburbanized community that offers many of the shops and entertainment we see in bigger cities. Young residents of the town will be involved in the Ray-Pec School District which, in 2018 (pre-covid) was ranked 81st in school districts with four out of five stars in Missouri according to School Digger. Overall, if you are looking for a more subdued, laid back, and community-oriented area, then I would highly consider this area.
