    On the western fringe of Camdenton, Hub City to Lake of the Ozarks, a sprawling 230-acre timbered tract is about to transform into a multi-million dollar sports facility. COO Ramsey and CEO Vernetti, Ballpark Development LLC, are thrilled to announce the September 21st ground breaking for Phase ONE of Ballparks of the Ozarks.

    The Ballparks of the Ozarks will host both three-day and week long tournaments for teams from around the country. The state of the art facility will have age appropriate fields, that will include turf infields, pitching bullpens, batting cages, LED lighting, and unique seating for the patrons. The facility is expected to be open for play in 2017 and is an exciting addition to our area!

    The newest microbrewery is open in Camdenton at the Lake of the Ozarks. They had their grand opening on April 30 and will be open Thursday-Sunday as of right now. They have many different varieties from Americale, to Bowrider to Chocolate Stark Stout to a Sweet Stout. They are all delicious. Give them a try! They are located at 311 Business Rte 5 in Camdenton.

    Pumkin Chunkin Palooza
    Pumkin Chunkin Family Fun Day will be held on September 28, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Ozark Amphitheater in Camdenton. This the best Pumkin Chunkin Family Fun Day! Not only will you be able to witness pumpkins being catapulted through the sky, you can also enjoy the bounce house, corn crib pit, hay rides, pony rides, face painting, petting zoo, climbing wall, carnival rides, on-site pumpkin decorating, pirate and magic hhow not to mention tons of food vendors and live entertainment.

    Tickets are available at the event for $8 for adults, $5 for children 5-12, and free for children under five. A family pass is $20 for (6 person limit). Event proceeds will go to benefit Share the Harvest Food Pantry.

    Another CLC Night GLOW complete! I know our team had fun painting faces! The CLC 5k is one of the area's oldest, biggest, and most family-friendly 5k's in the lake area. They had 212 registrants and 158 finishers to cross the finish line. We are excited to announce that CLC raised $10,174.14! Thank you to the CLC staff and board, volunteers, the sponsors, and of course, our community.

    Starting November 20 visit Old Kinderhook for the Christmas Village experience. You can meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus and all their elves. Read stories, watch movies, make gingerbread houses and write the all important letter to Santa.

    While there don't forget to bring your ice skates. Old Kinderhook has the lake's only outdoor ice skating rink. It is open until February 28. Hours are Monday - Friday 5:00-10:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 1:00 - 10:00 p.m. Cost to skate is $10 and skate rental is $3.

    The annual Pumpkin Chunkin' Palooza is Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a family friendly event that hosts a kids zone, trebuchet contest (catapult), local food vendors, pumpkin pie eating contest and live entertainment.     Wounded Warrior Motorcycle Poker Run will be held on April 30 2016. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Camdenton VFW Hall. The first bikes will leave at 9:30 a.m and the last bikes in at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per driver and $10 per passenger.
