    The Commander is one of the Lake of the Ozarks original party boats. It began cruising the lake starting in 1962, ready to provide memories for over 100 people at a time, with two restrooms. It was a great way for folks to cruise the lake in luxury and style.

    In May of 2015, Larry and Brenda Chamberlain purchased the historic vessel with intentions to restore it to its former glory. Recently, the Chamberlains have been informed that the boat was not able to be approved for public transport; therefore it is being put up for sale. Read the full story at the link below.

    Wednesday, August 22 at 5:00 p.m. Bagnell Dam Strip once again will come alive as multitudes of race boats, teams and fans gather for a huge meet and greet. Referred to as the Waves and Wheels Shootout on the Strip, it's one of the largest out of water boating events at the Lake of the Ozarks. This is a chance for race fans to mingle with boat owners and race team members, as well as get an up close look at these impressive machines.
