Blue Springs, Missouri, located nineteen miles east of downtown Kansas City, has a population of 52,575. The City of Blue Springs bought Sports City for 1.9 million dollars. The city plans to remodel the building and turn it into a community center. The community center will include an indoor turf area, gymnasium space, fitness center and studio space for aerobics, dance and yoga classes and much more. This is an exciting step for the residents of Blue springs. The community center is scheduled to be completed by August of 2015.
