Our first visit to Nick the Greek was not planned, a spur-of-the-moment choice. The restaurant was sparkling clean, including the restrooms (with hot water at the sink — IYKYK). The order taker was patient as we tried to make our selections. I’ll admit, I was a bit overwhelmed looking at the menu and ended up blurting out what I thought I wanted: a Greek salad with gyro meat (lamb).

What I received wasn’t quite what I had planned for (lettuce mix), but it was exactly what was listed on the menu: a large bowl with a bright mix of tomato, cucumber, red onion, and olives. It was an unexpected surprise and, honestly, I enjoyed it very much. The portion was huge, easily enough to share. My husband ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with steak and liked everything except the dried chickpeas. We both added the pita and drink option, which brought our total to about $43 after tax (no tip included).

The food came out quickly and fresh, delivered right to our table. Everything tasted delicious, and the portions were generous. That said, the overall experience felt a bit pricey for what it was. I’ll definitely give Nick the Greek another try, next time I’ll just take a little more time choosing my order.

I love Fred Arbanas Golf Course in Lee's Summit!! I'm grateful that I can watch my daughter play golf in match play and tournaments. If you haven't yet, go make your reservation at Fred Arbanas, as it fills up fast. It's centrally located and is easily accessible from all over the area. For a day filled with outdoor fun and sunshine, Longview Lake Park is a fantastic destination that offers endless activities for all ages. This sprawling park features a 930-acre lake perfect for water sports like boating, fishing, jet skiing, or a relaxing pontoon boat ride. In addition to the water, you can explore miles of paved bicycle and walking trails, perfect for a scenic stroll or a more intense workout. With picnic shelters, a swim beach, and a campground, Longview Lake provides a perfect, easily accessible escape to nature right within the city, making it a go-to spot for both peaceful relaxation and active adventure.

I stopped by Nick the Greek (1020 NW Pryor Rd, Ste C, Lee’s Summit) and ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with lamb. Wow, it was absolutely delicious! The portions are huge, packed with flavor, and so fresh. The bowl came loaded with tender lamb, rice, kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, hummus, toum, fried chickpeas, pickled onions, and just the right kick from the harissa. Every bite was full of bold flavor and texture. If you’re craving authentic Mediterranean food with generous portions, this spot is a must-try in Lee’s Summit!

I recently dined at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and was impressed from the moment I walked in. The upscale, lodge-like interior creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with warm tones and a layout that allows for comfortable, private dining rather than crowded tables.

The menu is diverse and appealing. While the Three-Course Menu at $39.95 was tempting, I couldn’t resist the Grilled Tenderloin Salad. I’m a sucker for wood-grilled tenderloin paired with bleu cheese crumbles, and this did not disappoint. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, tender, and flavorful. The portion size was generous enough to share or save for later, but it was so good I ended up finishing every bite.

Our server was outstanding, attentive, personable, and efficient from introduction through to the smooth handling of our divided checks. The entire evening felt relaxed and low-pressure, with an atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy good conversation and great food.

Overall, Firebirds delivered an excellent dining experience that balanced quality food, service, and comfort. I’ll definitely be returning.

I had a great experience with Summit Shoe Service. I called ahead and was impressed with how clearly he explained the process. Basically, the earlier he gets the shoes, the better the chance for same-day repair. They stay very busy, which to me says a lot about the quality of their work.

I drove straight over, and he quickly assessed my shoes, confirmed the repair could be done that same day, and gave me a clear commitment time, just 3 hours. He quoted their minimum repair of $15, which was very reasonable.

When I came back, my shoes were ready and waiting exactly as promised. Quality work, quick turnaround, and great customer care. I’ll definitely be back!

After hearing so many people rave about Taco Holics Club in Lee’s Summit, I was excited to finally try it for myself, and it did not disappoint. The menu is impressive, with so many options ranging from unique tacos and burritos to bowls, dips, and even sandwiches. It was tough to choose, but we decided to start with the cheese dip and then try the Quesa-Tacos, which we were told are among the most popular items. Both were absolutely delicious, and we enjoyed every bite.

The dining area was clean and welcoming, and our food arrived quickly thanks to the friendly staff. Overall, everything about our experience was excellent, and we are already looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

Absolutely loved our experience at 30Hop in Lee’s Summit! The menu is packed with amazing options—something for everyone—and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Big shout-out to the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl...it was fresh, flavorful, and packed with veggies. The outdoor patio is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal, and I appreciate that they take reservations (huge bonus!). Great food, great vibes, and top-notch service. Can’t wait to go back!

Mint Sushi is hands down one of my favorite spots for a date night. The service is always amazing, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, and they go the extra mile with beautiful plate presentation that makes the whole experience feel special.

The sushi itself is top-tier. I highly recommend trying the Tootsie Roll—it’s one of my personal favorites and packed with flavor. Every dish feels like it’s made with care and creativity, both in taste and presentation. One of the coolest things? If you visit on your birthday, they’ll add your photo to their wall! You start by choosing a base, like greens, grains, or both, then add proteins such as grilled chicken, lamb, or falafel, and finish with flavorful toppings, spreads, and dressings. The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently receives great reviews for both taste and quality. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the service is quick and friendly. It’s a great spot whether you’re dining in, grabbing takeout, or ordering delivery. If you’re in the area and craving something delicious and healthy, CAVA is definitely worth checking out!

Red Racks in downtown Lee's Summit is one of my favorite thrift stores! The staff is always helpful and kind, which makes the shopping experience even better. They have a great selection, whether you're on the hunt for clothes, home décor, or something unique, there's a good chance you'll find it here. I especially love their seasonal section and all the Kansas City Royals gear they stock. It's a hidden gem for any Royals fan or savvy shopper!

Mint Sushi is an excellent place to appreciate the cuisine of sushi, with each dish resembling a beautiful work of art. The sushi consistently tastes fresh and delightful for the taste buds. It is awesome!

El Potro is a great little spot tucked right off 150 Hwy and 291 in Lee's Summit. The food is consistently good, fresh, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and everything always comes out hot and delicious. Service is friendly and fast - everyone there is super welcoming. If you’re in the area and craving Mexican, this place is definitely worth a stop!

In my never ending quest for the best tacos and burritos in the area, my search brought me to Abelardo's Mexican Fresh in Lee's Summit. It reminded me a lot of Panchos in DT KC, especially the size of the menu. So I knew I had to try it out. I really like the wide range of options they had especially to see that they have my beloved Asada Fries! I ended getting an order of those to split with my wife and a chicken burrito. Although it is a little pricey, man do they give you a ton of food! The burrito was actually really spicey which I absolutely loved and the asada fries were really flavorful as well! While I do not think it's the best Mexican food in the metro, it is maybe the best in Lee's Summit. Sorry tacoholics fans (that place is not good), but I would definitely recommend it to those looking for a quick taco or burrito fix while enjoying downtown Lee's Summit
