I joined some friends for lunch at El Canelo located in North Kansas City, specifically the Kansas City Blueprint and Planroom off Swift. I had the combo taco, enchilada, and beans but they offer an extensive menu of taco soup and pollo blanco, to fajitas. There are two rooms and the location holds a lot of people with ample tables and an open atmosphere. Make plans today and grab your buddies to try it! I know you won't be disappointed!!!

I just tried Sail Away Wines off Armor in North Kansas City and it's amazing!!! The service is great; the ambiance is second to none, the wine is delish with a wide variety, and the live music was perfect. I don't think I understood the concept before actually going there. When you enter, they card you and provide a "passport" card with your name on it. With the card, you pick which section of wine or mixed drinks you like, insert your card and pick the wine and pour - one ounce, three ounces, or five ounces During your relaxing, you can order charcuterie boards, appetizers, or flatbreads. We tried the Ozark Ham & Fig Board, The White Wine Meat and Cheese Board, and the Artichoke Dip which was yummy. Tuesdays they have local, live music and it was the perfect topping to the enjoyable evening with a cool local flare. Just announced! Briarfest Levee Days will be at Macken Park in September 2023! This two-day music festival is scheduled for September 8th and 9th, 2023. They will have two stages, food trucks, a beer "forest", and a wine oasis. Come out to the Northland on Saturday, March 11th for a family fun Irish celebration close to St. Patrick's day. The event starts off with a parade and ends with a carnival. The festival includes a petting zoo, a children's stage show, a race car show, and more. Carnival food such as funnel cakes, popcorn, and sandwiches will be available for concessions. The Snake Festival has been going strong since 1983 and is a great way to get involved in the community and have some fun.

This restaurant came highly recommended to me and I was happy to finally try it! Very unique menu, different than any other Mexican place I've been to in Kansas City. Lots of delicious specialties and they make their own mole sauce in-house as well. I love the shrimp tacos. The service was great and you could tell the server was very proud to work there and very happy to tell us all about the menu. They have a quaint, cute atmosphere as well.

Super cute new cocktail bar in North KC! Nice patio out front and a really neat vibe inside. They feature every changing cocktails, cocktail flights, and even yummy drinks in a pouch they compare to as an adult "Capri Sun." They have an extensive bourbon menu as well. The only drawback of this place is they really don't have any food except for a few snacks. So it makes it a great place for a happy hour cocktail or an after-dinner drink!

First Watch is one of those restaurants that's just consistently great! They have their formula that works and they stick to it. Such a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options and many delicious healthy items as well. Service is always on point and it's a very cute place! And I love it for delivery also; it is just as good when it arrives at my door. And recently they just started serving cocktails so you can enjoy a mimosa or another favorite brunch beverage!

We ventured in this weekend in search of Oofos. Wow. They had a great selection of shoes including Hokas, Taos, Oofos, Brooks, Naot, and Finn Comfort; not to mention the custom orthotics. The staff is kind and knowledgable. If your feet hurt head on over and talk to the nice folks at Foot Spot. It'll be my go-to shoe store from now on!

We've been taking our vehicles to German Auto Service in North Kansas City for years and have always found them to be honest and dependable. It takes about three weeks to get your vehicle in for service so definitely plan ahead. The waiting area is not plush but it gets the job done. If you own a German vehicle, check them out.

Because they are new, they plan to be open from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., but that will depend on traffic. Stop by and enjoy!
