    If you are looking for an upscale subdivision with quality homes you have found it! Thousand Oaks Subdivision is located in a lovely area of Platte County. I really like the waterfall entrance with natural rock that greets you when you enter the subdivision. There are 2 pools and walking trails that take you by the water and into the wooded areas. It is a great family-oriented community offering many activities. There is a trick or treat around the lake at Halloween, fireworks on the 4th of July, photos with Santa, a parade and contests for the best float throughout the year. Fun! You will even see people driving golf carts around the community to get to the pool. It is also located a few minutes from downtown Parkville which is a town along the Missouri River. Parkville has a farmers market, Christmas lighting ceremony and many other activities throughout the year. You will also find some great restaurants there as well.
