I often get asked what are the characteristics of the Tudor-style home that we see throughout BKS. Well... Tudor homes are identified by their steeply pitched roof lines and decorative half-timbering. Brick and stone are the most common types of material you'll see on Tudors. Stucco wall cladding plays a significant role in the Tudor style as well. The windows are often grouped into strings of three or more. They are most commonly located on or below the main gable or in one or two-story semi-hexagonal bays, usually above the front entrance. Tudors were predominantly built in the 1920 and 1930's. The Tudor is just one of the style of homes that makes our Brookside neighborhoods so beloved!
