If you are stressed out with where we are in life right now and have a stiff neck from carrying too much of a heavy mind? Shoal Creek Chiropractic is the place to go. Call today to make an appointment. Dr. Miller and Dr. Dunivent are both amazing and so knowledgeable, experienced, and easy to talk with. I visit them every month to get back to "good" and love my visits each time. They start you out on a roller bed where you lay for 15 minutes and get warmed up and start to relax. I have fallen asleep many times and had a little catnap which is a fabulous thing for a busy mama. Go, enjoy and let me know your experience-I know it will be grand!!!

What started out as a local cotton candy business (Cottontale KC) is now expanding into an ice cream shop in Kansas City. The shop is currently scheduled to open this May at the Red Bridge Shopping Center. It is a family-owned and operated business. The star of the show is their creamwiches, which are ice cream sandwich cookies! They will also feature other company's treats in their facility. Local treats and creations will be added as the company expands. I can't wait to try this place out when it opens.

Located in the Power and Light District of Kansas City, is this fun and new activity. Whether you are looking for stress relief, a fun date night idea, or an event for a corporation, or just looking for something fun to do, axe throwing is something to consider. Blade and Timber offers a safe environment for participants. Coaches are axe safety certified and are always close by. Minors (10-17) can join in but must be accompanied by an adult and everyone must wear closed-toe shoes. Private lanes are priced at $25- $30 per person for 90 minutes and walk-ins are at a first-come, first-serve. If you find that axe throwing is your thing, join a league at Blade and Timber and make it a hobby. Overall, this is a fun place to let off some steam.

Date night time with your girlfriends, neighbors, or spouse at Rockhill Grille for lunch, brunch, happy hour, or dinner. My favorite appetizer is the Deviled Eggs; like you've never had them before, Brussel Sprout Salad (even if you don't like Brussel Sprouts...try it); and the Scottish Salmon. The ambiance is very inviting with extremely friendly service. Support local and get a small group together soon...Enjoy!!!!

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and due to Covid, many Kansas City traditions are cancelled. So here, I am giving you my top two picks for restaurants that bring Ireland to Kansas City. So, if you still want something to do on St. Patrick's Day, try one of these restaurants out.

    1. Browne's Irish Market - Known for its Irish breakfast and is the oldest Irish business in North America.

    2. The Dubliner- A traditional pub that offers daily food and drinks specials. Gives you that Irish ambiance and has live entertainment on the weekends.

Whether it's a sculpture, mural, fountain, or landmark, there is always something to explore in Kansas City. These, are in my opinion, some of the top pieces you need to see if you have not already.

    1. The Shuttlecocks outside of the Nelson Atkins Museum. The lawn of the Nelson is known as a "sculpture park" for a reason.
    2. The Crown Center fountains. Very entertaining during the holidays and the summer. Fun for kids. Located in the front entrance of Crown Center across from the playground.
    3. The Scout sculpture. This sculpture overlooks downtown and gives you the best view of the city. You can find it on Penn Drive.
    4. Patrick Mahomes mural. Anyone that is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs should go take a picture with this mural. It is located on the side of Westport Ale House.
    5. Charlie Parker memorial. It is a large face sculpture of the late jazz musician that was born in Kansas City.

The Kauffman's have made their mark in Kansas City and in 2000 a botanical garden was open in their honor. It is two acres of beautiful flowers, nature, and bronze sculptures. It is open to the public and is a part of Legacy Park in Kansas City. Powell Gardens is a partner of the Kauffman Foundation and manages and maintains the garden year-round. This beautiful garden is to extend the legacy of the gracious couple who gave so much to Kansas City and its residents. If you have not been, and you are a fan of nature's beauty, I would highly recommend stopping by.

Kansas City Chiefs had a fabulous year in an unusual season! What an amazing opportunity to go to the Super Bowl for the second year in a row. I tip my cowboy hat to all the fellas on the team including coaches and players for such a wonderful year of football. This year was sure unlike any other and I want to thank each of them for all they had to go through to be able to play and bring some normalcy back into all our lives in 2020. Thank you for all you are and all that you do Kansas City Chiefs!

If you are looking for a great place to go for entertainment while the weather is cold and snowy, then come check out the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The best shows are here like the theatre performances, opera, orchestra and much more! A definite one of a kinds experiences that you can not get anywhere else in Kansas City. Oh! And you don't have to ever worry about parking. This facility has its own parking garage which is a definite plus when you are in the mix of downtown Kansas City. Not only see a great show, but you can also take amazing photos standing outside the building. The north end provides different lights and architecture for photos. While, the south end showcases steel cables anchored from the sidewalk to the roof, with glass lobby windows in the background, which look amazing for group pictures! So, come check it out for the ultimate performing arts experience!

Steamboat Arabia was one of many boats that became a victim to the Missouri River in the 19th century. It was carrying over 200 tons of cargo meant for general stores in the Midwest until it sank and was underground for over 100 years. The cargo was discovered in what is now known as the Steamboat Arabia Museum. The museum sparks the interest of every one of all ages due to the plethora of different pieces of cargo found on the boat. You'll see everything from toys to fine china. The museum gives a glimpse back in time to the frontier life and there is so much to see. This museum has been around for over 25 years and continues to be one of Kansas Cities' best museums to explore.
