    You Can Still Surf at Raintree Lake
    For those surf enthusiasts, did you know that Raintree allows surfing on a portion of the lake? This may be the only lake in the area to still allow surfing. They also have a slalom course on the south end of the lake. If you have never had the opportunity to see someone use the course, wake up early and bike or walk the trails over to the south side. You will often find lone boats pulling skiers at high speeds. It's awesome to see the skiers throwing water twenty feet high as they cut back and forth through the course. You may have to wait until next summer, but it will be worth the wait.

    PT's is located at I-70 and the Oak Grove exit on the south side of the highway. It's small and family-owned with freshly made food to order. They are known for their delicious tenderloins but don't forget to order the onion rings. You won't regret stopping here.

One of the great things most of the boaters are excited about is a place to dock up or rest for a bit when loading and unloading their boats.     The Wal-Mart at 3410 SW Market St, in Lee's Summit, isn't your typical Wal-Mart. The staff is friendly and willing to help, from what I have experienced. They don't have a lot of employee operated registers open, but the self checkout's have an employee willing to help if needed. The store is always clean and seems to be well stocked.

    No One Out Pizza's the Hut
    The Pizza Hut at 3739 SW Hollywood Dr, in Lee's Summit, is a once a week staple for my family. The pizza is always fresh and the staff is friendly. We typically get two pizzas when we order and it's always less than $20 dollars. It's worth a try if you haven't checked them out!
