Shawnee is home to the Old Shawnee Town Museum, Wonderscope Children’s Museum and the Johnson County Museum as well as Shawnee Mission Park with it’s 120-acre lake.
Mid-America Sports Complex is easily one of the Midwest's finest ballparks. This 70-acre facility hosts softball and baseball games, leagues, and camps. The facility was privately owned when it was first built in 1991 but later bought out by Johnson County Park & Recreation District in 1994. Adult and youth can enjoy this complex with coed and competitive leagues.
