Parkville is home to the newest dog park in the Northland. The Platte Landing Dog Park, Platte County's first off-leash dog park has been up and running since June 2014. With individual areas for large and small dogs this is a great way to "let the dogs run" and meet new canine friends all the while enjoying the areas newest addition to the great outdoors. Adjoining the off-leash dog park are over 2 miles of walking trails. Located along the banks of the Missouri River in downtown Parkville and west of English Landing Park. Entering its second summer season for our canine friends the park continues to be a hit for many within the area. From dawn until dusk one can find a number of furry friends and their owners throwing frisbees, playing fetch and romping in the safe open areas. Grab the puppy and go have some fun!
