Well....the weather for Small Business Saturday couldn't have been better (60 degrees and sunny) and the crowds in downtown Parkville were great! Main Street Parkville Association really does a fabulous job of planning and executing events that help improve our community as a whole. Speaking of MSPA, this is the organization that puts on Christmas on the River every year. And what a great event it is! Along with a festive atmosphere, food options galore, and strolling carolers, the event is capped off with a 1,000-voice children's choir and fireworks finale! And it's all free to the public! Wow! So.....how does MSPA fund this event? In addition to many fabulous sponsors, MSPA also puts on its annual Gallery of Trees fundraiser. This year's event is Thursday, December 6 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at VIP event center in downtown Parkville. Your $50 ticket gets you admission, live and silent auctions, a cocktail reception and taste of Parkville. Raffles are also available for the many pre-decorated Christmas trees donated by local merchants and individuals. It's sure to be another fine event to add to your holiday outings and a great way to give back to this community we love so much!
